    • After talking to a lady in the street we found out this was a controlled fire in the Southern end of the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park. They do these controlled burns to prevent out of control fires later in summer. The smoke was thick and fire trucks and firemen were everywhere in the area. Tom took photos which will be posted soon (holiday photos about to go up to Flickr). As we were driving home we could see more fires burning up towards the central coast (north of us) and I found out that it was an out of control wildfire burning up there.
