First stop was The Haven, a sit-down restaurant catered by The Peninsula, one of Hong Kong’s most venerated hotels.
I had skipped breakfast at the hotel, so by the time I was in the lounge I was ready to eat.
It was rather busy and I had to wait about five minutes to get seated, but the service was prompt and the food delicious. I ordered coffee, oatmeal and two poached eggs. I also had a fruit bowl and some dim sum from the nearby buffet. Excellent food quality.
The table service was all silver, the wait staff were very attentive and professional. All in all, I was pretty impressed, especially considering I paid HK $352 for the Intercontinental breakfast buffet the day before.
