What started as a short day trip turned into a fairly long journey. Revisited some old places and saw some new ones, and had a great time. Missed having the family with me to share it with, but then I’d have never done over 1,200 km in two days (much of it on twisty roads) with them in tow.
Going to sleep well tonight. I stopped for fuel in Bateman’s Bay and turned inland from that point, following the King’s Highway towards Goulburn. Quite scenic, twisty roads through gum trees as you climb the coastal ranges, but nowhere to stop and get a view. On reflection, I realise I didn’t stop once after Bateman’s Bay. That’s 340 km nonstop… too far. I guess I got "get-home-itis"!
