Sunset Over Drummoyne

A beautiful sunset. Weather getting milder and days getting shorter. I love autumn!

Charlie Lovett @ Birkenhead Point

We got two pizzas and a chicken ceasar salad. It was excellent. Great to see a restaurant at Birkenhead Point that stays open after the rest of the shopping centre closes. We’ll definitely come back.

Lunch at Prato in Abbotsford

We decided to go out and find someplace new for lunch and we happened across Prato, in a lovely old 1910 heritage listed building. Food was delicious but overpriced; $20 for my steak sandwich… with no garnish.  Interestingly, the food items on the receipt were listed on the menu as $10, $22 and $22 respectively.

A majestic turn over Drummoyne

At the end of this month, United will replace the 747-400s on the Sydney routes with 777s after decades of jumbo service. I will miss seeing the behemoths thundering over our house on sunny afternoons, making their turn out over the Pacific. You could always hear the distinctive scream of four Pratt & Whitneys at full throttle and you knew it was United!
